ALCORA: LALANA’S DECORATIVE SERIES
by Ximo Todolí Pérez de León
The publication of this review of the series described by Mamés Lalana, who was once the factory’s director, marks a significant step towards a better understanding of the history of the Royal Porcelain Factory of Alcora.
This author’s comments were subsequently taken up by others, notably the Count of Casal, Manuel Escrivá de Romaní y de la Quintana, who laid the first systematic foundations for the study and catalogue of the works produced by the factory founded by Mr Buenaventura Pedro de Alcántara Ximénez de Urrea in 1727.
