HOSPITAL EDUCATIONAL CARE

Teaching in a hospital setting is characterised by the fact that it is aimed at students who attend a healthcare facility due to illness, which affects both their daily lives and their academic progress. When carrying out teaching duties, it is essential to take a wide range of factors into account, whilst remaining mindful of the healthcare environment in which the hospital classroom is situated.

In this context, it is characterised by certain specific features that clearly set it apart from other areas of education.

This text outlines the methodological approach to teaching practice and organisation in the hospital classroom at the University Clinical Hospital of Santiago de Compostela.
