This book has been published under the auspices of the HDSES (Historical Diving Society of Spain), a non-profit organisation founded in 2007, whose primary aim is the preservation and promotion of the historical heritage of diving. “20TH-CENTURY UNDERWATER ENGINEERING” is fully in line with the HDSES’s objectives.

In it, José María Zapata recounts his involvement over more than 20 years in the development of the underwater equipment industry and, consequently, in the evolution of the sector itself.

The HDSES is open to collectors, experienced divers, historians… and anyone with a passion for the underwater world, who are willing to help ensure that the history of diving is not forgotten.
