class=\"li1\"><b>The aim is the solution<\/b>: research is undertaken to address a real-world problem.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>Practical approach<\/b>: when research findings are positive, they enable that solution to be implemented directly in the real world quickly, safely and effectively.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><b>Based on existing theories<\/b>: these studies build on existing theoretical knowledge.
