Binding a doctoral thesis online

Softcover binding
Soft covers with a PUR-glued spine are among the most popular choices for binding doctoral theses and final-year projects.
The custom-designed cover is printed in full colour on 350gsm cardstock, which is very stiff.
It is then laminated with a gloss or matt finish to give it a professional look and greater durability.
Hardback binding
The printed hardback cover allows you to personalise your thesis with an elegant finish.
The binding process uses 2mm laminated cardboard, which is covered with a custom-printed design that has been laminated in either a gloss or matt finish, as required. The pages are either glued or sewn, depending on the length and thickness of the thesis.
The inside of the hardback thesis is trimmed by 4mm. Please bear this in mind when designing the layout to ensure that page numbers or any other information are not cut off.
